João António Gomes de Melo e Castro e Melo is a Hospital Administrator/Health Management, having completed his specialization in Hospital Administration at the Nova - National School of Public Health in 2025. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in Public Administration with a specialization in health from the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lisbon (ISCSP), which he completed in 2021. He also obtained an Executive Master’s in Health Management and Administration from the Cooperative for Polytechnic and University Higher Education (CESPU) in 2018. With a strong focus on academic research in Health Management and Health Innovation, João has actively participated as a speaker in various national and international conferences and lectures. Currently, he serves as a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence and Health Research Unit, a research unit at IPSN/CESPU, where he is dedicated to the study and development of academic research using Artificial Intelligence, particularly in the fields of Evolutionary Intelligence and Generative AI, with the goal of improving healthcare management and service delivery. Recently, he published a book titled The Future of Health Systems in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
