Introduction:

My research interests are studying the behavior of materials in dynamic environments. I am interested in materials including Metals, Polymers, and Heterogeneous materials. We have a beautiful high strain rate setup (Hopkinson bar and HPV-X2 Cameras), and I use it to study: i) The stress-wave assisted dynamic failure of shale. ii) Characterize the dynamic behavior of Poromechanics materials.
