Ekaterina Isayeva

PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of English for Professional Communication at Perm State University,

Associate Professor of the Department of Automated Control Systems at NUST MISIS.

She has recognised expertise in the field of cognitive and digital linguistics. Author of more than 80 scientific publications, including monographs and scientific articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Academic editor and organiser of major interdisciplinary projects in the field of terminology and ontological modelling. Research interests: terminological standardisation, cross-cultural communication, neural network modelling and applied data analysis.

She has led fundamental projects of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) dedicated to automated knowledge modelling and the development of thesauri in the field of information security. Author and editor of monographs published by Springer, including Specialised Knowledge Mediation and Science and Global Challenges of the 21st Century.

In her teaching and project activities, she actively combines methods from the humanities with digital tools, from Python programming to cognitive modelling. She has expertise in the evaluation and development of terminology standards projects within the framework of National Technology Initiatives.

She teaches courses covering digital linguistics, professional communication, applied linguistics and translation, as well as academic writing in English and participates in consortium and research group initiatives in the field of humanities engineering.
