Nikitin, Nikolai Aleksandrovich is Deputy Head of the Department for Research and Grants at Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, where his research focused on the transformation of vegetation and flora under anthropogenic pressure. He participated in expeditions organized by the Togliatti Institute for Ecology of the Volga Basin, studying the resilience of floristic complexes on the East European Plain. This work provided him with extensive field research experience and specialized knowledge in sustainable development. His studies specifically examined the impact of railways on the spread of alien plant species in Eastern Europe. Since 2019, his focus has shifted to ecological education. He teaches geography at the University's Lyceum. The COVID-19 pandemic and the mass transition to digital learning environments prompted his current research interest: investigating the influence of digitalization on the transformation of students' environmental consciousness. In 2024, he was engaged in a study of Tanzania's education system, focusing on the implementation of frameworks designed to foster environmental consciousness in students.Recently, his work has concentrated on studying the impact of artificial intelligence on the structure of environmental consciousness.
