About

Dr. Jaures received his bachelor’s (2013) and master’s (2015) degrees in Physical Science from Marien Ngouabi University, Congo. After receiving a Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), he did one year of Chinese language courses (2016) at the School of International Education and Exchange, University of Jinan, China. Subsequently, he completed a PhD degree (2021) in Materials Science and Engineering from the same university. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the College of Civil Engineering of Hunan University, China. During his 2-year (2021-2023) post-doctoral fellowship, Dr. Jaures worked on low-carbon CO2 sequestration binders (CS, γ-C2S, and C3S2) and their interaction with conventional CO2 curing methods. Currently, he works as an associate researcher at the College of Civil Engineering of Fuzhou University (China) focusing on developing new and advanced cementitious materials and exploring novel methods for CO2 capture, which can contribute to the overall sustainability of the construction industry.
