Dr. Man Bahadur Khatri, known colloquially as 'Sagar' in literary works, is a distinguished academic, researcher, and literary figure from Nepal who currently serves as a Faculty Member (Assistant Professor) in the English Department at Sanothimi Campus, Tribhuvan University. He was born on December 11, 1980, in the Galkot-5 region of Baglung, Nepal. Dr. Khatri has dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence in education, leadership, and research. His professional journey is defined by a commitment to his core life goals: to be a good teacher, a visionary leader, and a dedicated researcher in English Language Education.
Dr. Khatri has an extensive academic background and has steadily built expertise in English language teaching and educational leadership. He completed his 'PhD in English Language and Leadership' from the Faculty of Education at Tribhuvan University in 2023. His doctoral thesis, titled "A Journey from English Language Teachers to Leadership Positions: Experiences of Vice-Chancellors," reflects his deep interest in how educators transition into high-level administrative roles.
Before his doctorate, he earned an M.Phil. in Educational Leadership from Kathmandu University in 2012, where he focused on critical management areas such as organizational behavior, human resource management, and finance. He did his thesis on 'Teacher's Personality and its effect on Students' Learning'. His foundational higher education includes a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in English Education (ELT) earned in 2005 and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in English and Non-formal Education in 2003, both from Tribhuvan University.
