Abstract
The mechanochemical fluorination of unactivated C(sp3)−H bonds has been achieved using N-fluorobenzenesulfonimide as both a precursor of the hydrogen-atom-transfer reagent and a bench-stable fluorine source. The control experiments revealed that mechanical energy is essential for realizing this reaction.
