Abstract
An efficient method for CF3-carbenoid C7 functionalization of N-pyrimidylindolines using readily available methyl 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-diazopropionate as a cross-coupling partner under chelation-controlled Rh(III)-catalysis has been developed. The reactions smoothly proceed with high regioselectivity for a few hours and allow introducing CF3 and carboxylate functions simultaneously into C7-position of indolines.
