Abstract
The ion excited light yield of monocrystal PbWO4 has been studied. Its luminescence under the action of a He+ ions appears to be rather suppressed. The optical luminescence pulse-height spectra upon the hydrogen ion excitation have been obtained both for the random position of the crystal and for the ions channeling along crystallographic axis 〈 001 〉. The kinetics of the light yield as a function of the exposure dose, acquired by the near-surface layers of the crystal upon ion beam irradiation, have been studied for the random orientation of the crystal.
