Abstract
Fe[C(SiMe3)3]2 (1) is prepared by the reaction of FeCl2 with 2 equiv. of [(Me3Si)3C]Li(THF)2. X-ray crystallography revealed that 1 is a linear, monomeric complex with D3d symmetry.
