Abstract
A one-pass flow system was used to measured the solubilities of β-carotene (C 40 H 56 ) in dense carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. The solubillities established at 308, 313, 318, and 323 K and pressures ranging from 9.6 to 30 MPa were correlated with the temperature and the density of pure solvent. The equation proposed by Chrstil was used for the correlation with successful results
