We help researchers in the field of medical chemistry, biotechnology and fundamental oncology to evaluate the effect of new agents on tumor growth (cytotoxic, antitumor effect) and to study certain aspects of the mechanisms of action of potential drugs

The main activity of the laboratory is evolutionary and taxonomic studies of key phylogenetic branches of unicellular eukaryotes, research on the problem of species, biogeography and the role of protists in natural communities. The laboratory's research combines both classical approaches involving the study of the morphology and physiology of the protist cell as an individual organism, and modern methods of phylogenetics, phylogenomics and molecular biology.
