Laboratory of Geobotanical Research

Main tasks: Assessment of the state and dynamics of meadow phytocenoses of the Central Caucasus; Classification and inventory of the diversity of types of plant communities of mountainous territories on the example of the North Caucasus; Development of methods and recommendations for the conservation and rational use of bioresources of meadow ecosystems of mountainous territories; Development of scientific approaches to the conservation of rare, endangered and economically valuable plant species, identification of new species of natural flora of the Central Caucasus, assessment of the invasive potential of adventitious species of the North Caucasus; Popularization of scientific achievements and introduction of fundamental scientific results in the field of ecology of mountainous territories into the educational process.
