About

Vladimir G. Leiman is currently a Professor at the Department of General Physics and a principle researcher at the 2D Material’s Optoelectronics laboratory of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). He obtained his MS and PhD from this institute 1962 and 1968 respectively, and Doctor of Science degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Institute of Radio-engineering and Electronics, Russian Academy Sciences, 1989 . Before joining MIPT in 1971 he worked as a research Engineer in electronic industry. His research interests include the theory of electron beams in vacuum and plasma devices as well as plasmonic phenomena in semiconductor electronic and optoelectronic devices. His current research interests include graphene-based and nanowire-based transistors and sensors, and 2-D materials. Hi is the author and coauthor of more than 100 publications. Vladimir G. Leiman is Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
