About

Professor Sergey Lezhnin I. was born May 16, 1954 in Novosibirsk (USSR). Lezhnin S.I. entered the Novosibirsk State University (NSU) in 1971 and finished it in 1976.

Since 1976 Lezhnin S. is working in the Institute of Thermophysics (Novosibirsk, Russia): from 1977 to 1978 as the position of a trainee, from 1978 to 1986 as Junior researcher, from 1986 to 1989 as Researcher, from 1989 to 1997 as Senior researcher, from 1997 to 2008 as Leading researcher, from 2008 to present as Chief researcher.

In 1986 he defended his Ph.D. thesis «Perturbation Evolution in Various Structures of Two-Phase Media» and in 1994 - his doctoral thesis «Wave Dynamics of Two-Phase Media of Various Structures” (Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences).

Currently, his main research interests are related to the following objects:

nonlinear pressure wave, multi-phase environment, transient heat transfer, nuclear fusion hybrid systems, transfers of neutrons.

He is the author of more than 200 published scientific works, including еру articles in scientific journals, in proceedings of the international and domestic conferences, preprints.
