Хейман Ехуд

Prof. Ehud Heyman received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude Valedictorian, from Tel-Aviv University, in 1977, the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, with distinction, from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, in 1979, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrophysics from the Polytechnic University (formerly Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn), in 1982. While at the Polytechnic Institute, he was a Fulbright Fellow, a Rothschild Fellow, and a Hebrew Technical Institute Fellow.

In 1983 he joined the Department of Physical Electronics at the Faculty of Engineering at Tel-Aviv University, where he is now a the Ludwig Jokel Chaired Professor of Electronics. From 2003 to 2006 he served as the Founding Head of the School of Electrical Engineering, and from 2006 to 2014 he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. As a Dean he establish TAU International Program of Electrical Engineering which he now heads.

He had visiting positions at Northeastern University, Boston, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, Chuo University, Tokyo, and Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands.

Prof. Heyman is the President of the Israeli National Committee for Radio Sciences, and the 2011 Laureate of URSI’s Balthasar van der Pol Gold Medal Award [Citation: "For developing mathematical tools to analyze the generation, propagation and scattering of beam-shaped electromagnetic fields, and their engineering applications"].

He is an IEEE Fellow [Citation: "For contributions to the theory of time-domain electromagnetics and of pulsed beam radiation, propagation, and scattering"]. He serves on the Editorial Board of the IEEE Press Series on Electromagnetic Waves and was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. He was on the organizing and technical committees of many international symposia.
