Вегас Марек

Marek Vagaš received M.Sc. (2005) degree, Ph.D. (2009) degree at the Technical University of Kosice, and Associate professor. (2019) degree in Automation at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. Significant results of my scientific and professional work include providing of training at industrial robots, their programming and designing with emphasis to implementation into robotic automated cells.

I coordinates several EU domestic and foreign projects that are aimed at solving of robotic systems integration into the automation and robotics environment. Currently, my focuses are primarily aimed to the field of collaborative robotics, where I successfully tests and experimentally verifies practical possibilities of dual arm collaborative robot SDA 10F, from YASKAWA, MOTOMAN Company.

My scientific focus is directed to automated robot workplaces, from initial design to final implementation and testing, focusing on implementing new forms, methods and resources for automated industrial solutions. Advantage is good cooperation with praxis, for example cooperation with global automotive company Faurecia at Slovakia at an increasing of automation of an existing production line for applying adhesive to car interior parts, design and realization of a dedicated automated machine for threading - SEZ Krompachy (Slovakian manufacturer of electric parts) or realization of repeated specific oriented trainings in the field of robotic equipment for global companies Getrag Ford Transmisions and PAS (Process Automation Solutions, Prague).

My teaching activities are focused on realization of exercises and lectures at following subjects: Fundamentals of Robotics, Informatics, Robotic Systems, Automation and Robotics, Communication Interfaces, Mechatronics of Robots and others.

I am the co-author of 4 books from this area, together with participating at many domestic and international conferences regarding to the Robotics and Automation.
