About

I am spearheading a crucial initiative to comprehend and combat antibiotic resistance in diverse ecosystems. Our comprehensive research focuses on five pivotal objectives. We begin with genomic surveillance, utilizing a wastewater-based epidemiological approach to track antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and mobile genetic elements (MGEs) in urban, semi-urban, and rural environments. This involves analyzing the occurrence and prevalence of ARGs linked to commonly used antibiotics, evaluating resistance transmission via mobile elements, and gaining insights into the dynamics of ARGs within these communities. Additionally, we conduct spatiotemporal surveillance to assess dominant resistant lineages, identifying core and persistent resistance patterns across different locations and over time. Through whole-genome metagenome sequencing, we delve into the resistome, uncovering the emergence of novel resistance and pathogen clusters, and providing crucial insights into prevailing resistant strains and emerging pathogens. We also explore innovative treatment methods, including aerobic-anaerobic-anoxic interface, electrochemical, and wetland systems, to effectively combat environmental resistance. Our ultimate goal is to translate this wealth of data into precise, evidence-based recommendations for clinical decision-making and initial empirical therapy choices, which are essential for ensuring optimal health management within our community. I am deeply passionate about making a tangible impact in the fight against antibiotic resistance. I eagerly anticipate sharing the progress and insights garnered from this project with the scientific and healthcare communities. Together, we can pave the way towards more effective resistance management and improved public health outcomes. #AntibioticResistance #PublicHealth #GenomicSurveillance #HealthcareInnovation

Metrics description
h-index
A scientist has an h-index if h of his N publications are cited at least h times each, while the remaining (N - h) publications are cited no more than h times each.
i10-index
The number of the author's publications that received at least 10 links each.
m-index
The researcher's m-index is numerically equal to the ratio of his h-index to the number of years that have passed since the first publication.
o-index
The geometric mean of the h-index and the number of citations of the most cited article of the scientist.
g-index
For a given set of articles, sorted in descending order of the number of citations that these articles received, the g-index is the largest number such that the g most cited articles received (in total) at least g2 citations.
w-index
If w articles of a researcher have at least 10w citations each and other publications are less than 10(w+1) citations, then the researcher's w-index is equal to w.
