Сехар Чандра Ракурти

Dr. Sekhar Rakurty has over 20 years of research and development experience in design and manufacturing. He earned his MS and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. He is the research and development manager at the M. K. Morse Company. He holds 16 patents for new cutting tool designs in the United States, Japan, Canada, India, Mexico, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Mexico. He has co-authored over two dozen peer-reviewed journal and conference publications on machining, welding, and sustainable solutions. He is the associate editor of the Machining Science and Technology journal. He is on the ASME Board on Standards and Testing. Additionally, he chairs the ASME standard committee for machine tools (B5) and cutting tools (B94). He serves on the scientific committees of over five international conferences. Dr. Rakurty is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Akron. He has been awarded multiple research grants as a PI and co-PI for implementing AI, design for harsh environments, and digital transformation in industrial applications.
