About

Aleksandr N. Sychev (M’97–SM’17) received the Diploma degree in radio-designing and technology from the Tomsk Institute of Automated Control Systems and Radioelectronics (now Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics, TUSUR), Tomsk, Russia, in 1982, Candidate of Techn. Sc. (Ph.D) degree from the Ural Polytechnical Institute (now Ural State Technical University), Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), Russia, in 1989, and the Doctor of Techn. Sc. in microwave engineering from TUSUR, Russia, in 2002.

From 1982 to 1992, he was with TUSUR, Tomsk, as Researcher, where he was involved in the fields of microwave design and testing of controllable circuits, including diode fast-acting phase shifters, equalizers, etc. From 1992 to 2002, he was the associate Professor, TUSUR. From 2002 to present, he is a Professor at the Department of Computer Systems, TUSUR.

He is author of the following books (in Russian): Controllable microwave circuits based on multimode srtipline structures, Tomsk, Tomsk State Univ., 2001; Combined method of partial capacitances and conformal mapping for the analysis of multimode stripline structures, Tomsk, TUSUR, 2007; and other. His current research interests lie in the fields of passive and controllable lumped-distributed circuits, including coupled-line directional couplers, all-pass equalizers, phase shifters, as well as computer modeling of the distributed components with numerical conformal mapping technique.

Prof. Sychev has been listed in Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World since 2009.

Metrics description
h-index
A scientist has an h-index if h of his N publications are cited at least h times each, while the remaining (N - h) publications are cited no more than h times each.
i10-index
The number of the author's publications that received at least 10 links each.
m-index
The researcher's m-index is numerically equal to the ratio of his h-index to the number of years that have passed since the first publication.
o-index
The geometric mean of the h-index and the number of citations of the most cited article of the scientist.
g-index
For a given set of articles, sorted in descending order of the number of citations that these articles received, the g-index is the largest number such that the g most cited articles received (in total) at least g2 citations.
w-index
If w articles of a researcher have at least 10w citations each and other publications are less than 10(w+1) citations, then the researcher's w-index is equal to w.
