Leon A. Abdillah earned a Bachelor's in 2001, and a Master's in 2006, both in information systems and information systems management. He continued his Ph.D. in information retrieval at the School of Computer Science, The University of Adelaide, Australia (2010-2012).

He is a Lektor Kepala (Associate Professor) in the information system department, computer science faculty. He is The Coordinator of the Research Center of ICT Innovation, Smast Ystems, and Data Science. Reviewer and Assessor at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Previously he was at the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Center, Verification of SINTA, Lecturers Assessment (Appraisal of Credit Score of Postgraduate), Reviewer and editor of international conferences and journals, and former of Quality Assurance Bureau.

He is a 500 Indonesian Scientist (Webometric, 2015), Top Indonesian reviewer (Publons, 2017, 2018), The best hat trick computer science (2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022), Best paper of SESINDO2014, AICSIT2017, ICBS2022. Best presenter in SEMNASTIK, SHaP-SITI, SENTIKOM, ICIBA, and BidarCOSECS.

He is a member of APTIKOM, CASE, IET, IAENG, IAII, IACSIT, ISAET, RJI, SCIEI, SDIWC.
