Maria Sales Nogueira Renata

I work as a scientific researcher at the Instituto Lauro de Souza Lima, State Department of Health of São Paulo (SP, BR, 2004), and as onvited advisor in the Postgraduate Program in Pathology at São Paulo State University, Medical School, Botucatu (SP, BR, 2018). I graduated in Dentistry from the University of Marília (SP, BR, 1994), with a specialization in Endodontics from the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies (SP, BR, 1998). I have a master's and doctorate in Oral Pathology from the University of São Paulo (SP, BR, 2000 and 2006). I received specialized training in neural cell cultivation at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, Fiocruz (RJ, BR, 2009), and at the University of Miami (FL, US, 2012). I have an MBA in health innovation management from Instituto Butantan (SP, BR, 2018). My expertise includes immunoassay techniques, histopathology, and animal experimentation. My research interests focus on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of peripheral neuropathies, with particualr emphasis on leprosy.
