Teaching and research in the fields of medical informatics and technology applied to disability. Four six-year periods (three in research and one in transfer), four five-year periods in teaching, and four DOCENTIA evaluations (teaching activity evaluation by external organizations) with excellent performance. Director of the Handytronic Group Telecon-UDC Chair of Business since November 2017. Secretary of the Association of University Professors of Radiology and Medical Physics (APURF) from 2007 to 2016. Secretary of the Department of Medicine at the University of A Coruña from May 2013 to March 2017. Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Health Sciences at the University of A Coruña (RD99/2011) from 2013 to 2017. Principal Investigator of national and regional research projects as well as numerous contracts and agreements with companies. Author of more than 40 articles in JCR impact factor journals. The research work has focused on three main lines of investigation: (1) Medical imaging, telemedicine, and teleradiology, in which I developed my doctoral thesis. Development of medical image storage and processing systems. (2) Support products to enable people with disabilities to access information and communication technologies, including the development of intervention content for rehabilitation, environmental adaptation, and functional recovery. (3) Medical informatics with the development of specific applications in the clinical-assistance environment, especially in the area of intelligent data management from critical care units.
