Samia HADDOUTI EL
About
Samia EL HADDOUTI is a researcher with over 16 years of experience in the IT industry. She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Cybersecurity from ENSIAS, Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco, in 2020, and an engineering degree from the National School of Applied Sciences in 2009. Since 2011, she has served as an IT Project Manager at the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST), where she leads middleware solutions and e-infrastructure services for the national research and education community. She also worked for over two years as a Network and Security Consultant in a multinational company.
Samia also plays an active role in international collaborations. From 2015 to 2017, she was elected as the first female member of the Global eduroam Governance Committee (GeGC), representing the Africa region. Since 2018, she has served as a delegate to the eduGAIN Interfederation Steering Group within GÉANT, the pan-European network for research and education.
She has also acquired academic experience as a visiting professor at several higher education institutions. Additionally, she is an active member of the technical program committees of various scientific conferences and serves as a reviewer for international journals.
Her research interests encompass various aspects of Cybersecurity, with a special focus on Blockchain technologies, Identity Federation, Trust Management, Privacy-preserving Systems, Distributed Consensus Protocols, and edge AI for Cybersecurity. She has proposed and validated several innovative models in Cybersecurity and Blockchain and holds two invention patents.
