Rosa María García-Sierra
About
My basic training is as a nurse (UAB, 1995). Since obtaining the diploma, I have carried out continuous postgraduate training, master's degree and obtained the PhD in Psychology in 2016 (UAB). I have performed care work for 23 years, nurse management for 2 years and teaching and research for the last 10 years. Currently my main occupation is as a research support technician at the Unitat de Suport a la Recerca Metropolitana Nord (IDIAP- ICS), giving support to health professionals who carry out research.
Since 2019, I have been part of the Grup de Recerca Multidisciplinary en Salut i Societat (GREMSAS), an emerging group accredited by AGAUR (2017 SGR917). On January 16, GREMSAS has been accredited by AGAUR as a consolidated research group (2021 SGR 01484) of which I am the group coordinator. It is an interinstitutional group with Autonomous University of Barcelona.
One of the five strategic lines of GREMSAS is named "New prodessionals challenges", that includes the study of the burnout.
In 2013, I collaborated in ECONURSES research financed by the Ministry, as research coordinator at the hospital in Catalonia. This research applied the Ecological Momentary Evaluation methodology with mobile phones to record the variables during work shifts. My doctoral thesis (2016) investigated the work performance of
hospital nurses, in relation to their strengths (engagement) and their relationship with stress (burnout). After, in 2017, I obtained funding as a principal investigator in a competitive project from the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya to develop a study related to the empowerment of nurses and the leadership of nursing managers. The participation in these investigations generated the publication of 9 papers journals of quartile 1 and 2, with preferred authorship in 6 of them. In addition, apart from these investigations, in 2020 and 2021 I have been collaborating in the evaluation of the support measures for health professionals with COVID, generating two papers in quartile 3 and 4. In the last two years I have gained experience in creating and managing projects on the REDCap platform. Member of REDCap Spanish Speaking Administrators.
