Laboratory of mechanisms of replication of damaged DNA

The group studies the response of cells to DNA damage and the mechanisms of replication of damaged DNA with the participation of highly error-prone specialized human DNA polymerases (specDNCP): Pol iota, Pol eta, Pol zeta, PrimPol. The main areas of research:

1. Efficiency and accuracy of DNA synthesis on DNA matrices with different types of damage
2. The structural and functional organization of the educational centers of the Special Scientific and Technical Commission
3. Regulation of activity and switching of special equipment
4. The effect of mutations and polymorphisms (primarily found in cancer patients) on the activity of special DNCP
5. Preparation of inhibitor aptamers for special DNCP
