The group studies the response of cells to DNA damage and the mechanisms of replication of damaged DNA with the participation of highly error-prone specialized human DNA polymerases (specDNCP): Pol iota, Pol eta, Pol zeta, PrimPol. The main areas of research:
- Efficiency and accuracy of DNA synthesis on DNA matrices with different types of damage
- The structural and functional organization of the educational centers of the Special Scientific and Technical Commission
- Regulation of activity and switching of special equipment
- The effect of mutations and polymorphisms (primarily found in cancer patients) on the activity of special DNCP
- Preparation of inhibitor aptamers for special DNCP
- Recombinant protein expression
- Affinity chromatography
- PCR
- Site-directed mutagenesis
- Selection of DNA aptamers for biological targets
- CRISPR-Cas
- In vitro testing of DNA polymerase activity
- Cell and tissue culture
- Isolation and purification of target proteins
