The formation of new neurons in the brain continues throughout life. Our group is investigating the role of new neurons in the mechanisms of plasticity and is studying various pro- and anti-neurogenic factors affecting the pool of stem cells and new neurons in the brain. We are also developing methods for visualizing neurogenesis and cell migration in the whole brain.
