About
My research endeavors focus on the exploration of phases and phase transitions in low-dimensional strongly interacting electron systems. This includes investigations into local atomic structure transitions and magnetism. Currently, I am immersed in the study of oxyborate single crystals. These oxides exhibit a remarkable diversity of electronic, structural, and magnetic phases. The low structural and magnetic dimensionality of these materials has been recognized as a key factor in their unique properties, which deviate significantly from their bulk counterparts. This dimensionality gives rise to a plethora of phases and phase transitions due to the high degree of degeneracy and extreme sensitivity to external influences. In addition, I am actively engaged in the study of magnetic nanostructures. These structures have garnered significant attention due to their exceptional physical properties and potential applications in electronics and spintronics. The transport of spin-polarized electrons across ferromagnetic/semiconductor interfaces with semiconductor layers is particularly intriguing for spintronics, as it offers the possibility of incorporating the spin degree of freedom into Si-based technology.

[8] Molecular beam and magnetron deposition of magnetic thin films
[9] Thin film growth morphology
[10] Interfacial reactions between metals
[11] Applications of transmission electron microscopy
[12] Structure and magnetism of low-dimensional systems
I utilize a variety of experimental techniques to probe these systems, including:
[1] X-ray absorption (XAFS, XMCD, linear and chiral magnetic dichroisms)
[2] X-ray diffraction Magnetic measurements (VSM, SQUID)
[3] Resistivity and magnetoresistivity measurements
[4] Optical measurements (Raman spectroscopy, etc.)
