Sudhakar Dr Kumarasamy

Dr.K. Sudhakar is an Indian living and working in Malaysia and blending the best of both cultures into his life. He is currently an academician and researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. He also holds permanent position at Energy Centre, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal,India and a visiting position at South Ural State University, Russian Federation .He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the Institution of Engineers India, Certified Energy Manager and Auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency ,Govt of India and registered as Member with Board of Engineers, Malaysia and Malaysia Board of Technologists. Since he started his career in 2006, he has received numerous prestigious academic awards, including Best Faculty Award (2006) ,Department of Science and Technology, Government of India -Senior Research Fellowship (2008),British council youngest climate leader Award (2010), Madhya Pradesh Young Scientist Award (2012),Young South Asian Researcher Award on Sustainable Consumption and Production by TERI University in association with SSDN, UNEP, and the EU through the SWITCH-Asia Programme (2016) ,UMP Cendekia Bitara Awards for the years 2018, 2019, and 2021.

He has graduated more than 10 PhD and 45 Masters students both in India and Malaysia , and is leading a team of 15 members consisting of PhD ,Master and Under graduate final year students. In the six years leading up to 2023, he has published over 250 journal articles. Over the last five years, his publications have been cited over 9000 times. His current h-index is 50, placing him among the world's top 2% (100,000) scientists for a global ranking in 2019, 2020, and 2021, provided by the journal Plos Biology "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators"for the topic "Energy". He is also the principal and co-investigator of more than 30 projects from International, National, and Industry Projects, with total amount more than 27 Million INR and MYR 0.5 million. He is now serving as an Associate Editor in Frontiers in Energy Research (IF: 4.008), Energy Engineering (CiteScore: 0.70), Journal of Engineering Education Transformations (Cite Score :2.205); and Editorial Board of Indian Journal of Power and River Valley Development (UGC indexed). He also managing as lead guest editor of several open access journals, Frontiers in Energy Research (IF: 4.008), MDPI Sustainability (IF: 3.251); International Journal of Photo Energy, Hindawi (IF: 2.113); FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Techscience (Cite Score :1.4)

Dr Sudhakar is an active reviewer for more than 100 esteemed international journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley and SAGE publishers. He has been in the Top 250 reviewers list powered by Publons. Also, he has acted as a handling editor for more than 100 submitted manuscripts in numerous journals. He has delivered over 100 invited talks in various national and international forums. He is an avid traveller and has visited many countries including Sri Lanka, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia to present research papers at various premier international conferences and attend business meetings.
