About
My research career started during my last year of Bachelor’s degree (2010-2011) in Biology (University of Granada, Spain) as a student contributor in the Department of Plant Physiology (Nitrogen fixation group). In 2013, I started my PhD (2013-2017) in the department of Plant Physiology (University of Balearic Islands, Spain). My thesis was mainly focused on the study of the regulation of the two mitochondrial respiratory pathways by mass spectrometry. Later, I was assistant professor in the Department of Botany of the University of Concepción (Chile) from 2018 to 2022, and principal investigator of a Fondecyt Regular project (2019-2024) about the metabolic regulation of plant respiration in the symbiosis Rhizobium-legume under abiotic stress. Later, I was postdoctoral researcher at the University of Balearic Islands (2022-2024), and currently, at the University of Granada. Since 2023, I am accredited as Associated Professor (ANECA), and as established researcher (R3, AEI).
