Laura Ivonne Garay Jiménez is a Communications and Electronics Engineer specializing in Control from ESIME-IPN. She obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (1996) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2005), specializing in Bioelectronics from CINVESTAV-IPN. She is a member of the National Research System in Mexico and various national and international research networks, including RedLate, IEEE-EMBS, and the IPN Computing Network. Currently, she collaborates in the Master’s Program in Advanced Technology at UPIITA-IPN, focusing on signal processing for dynamic systems. She leads the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Signal Processing (LIPS). She plays a key role in the new Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and the Doctorate in Engineering for Robotic and Mechatronic Systems, where she applies technologies through a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. Her work in computing, electronics, and electroencephalogram processing is remarkable, as she actively contributes as an author, co-author, and reviewer at national and international conferences and journals, addressing topics such as signal processing, sensor networks, and intelligent systems for clinical diagnosis and education.
