About
I am an Associate Professor of Plant Ecophysiology with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 15 years dedicated to research and academic leadership. I served as the Project Development and Management Director at Bahir Dar University, where I played a key role in advancing the university's research initiatives. Specializing in plant ecophysiology, I focus on understanding the complex interactions between plants and their environment, particularly in relation to ecological processes, plant adaptation, and sustainability. My research interests are diverse, spanning stress physiology, crop agronomy, and plant disease and weed control using botanicals, plant ecology, and ethnobotany. Throughout my career, I have been making significant contributions to advancing knowledge in plant science, enriching the academic community through research and mentorship. My work integrates the expertise in plant science with a strong commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and ecological conservation.
