Joobin Khadamy
About
Joobin Khadamy, MD, FEBO, FEBOS-CR is a Swedish-licensed ophthalmologist and clinical researcher with expertise in cataract surgery, ocular imaging, and retinal vascular diseases. He earned his MD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and holds the National Board of Ophthalmology from Iran. After recertifying at Umeå University in Sweden, he successfully passed the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO) examination with distinction, earning the title of Fellow (FEBO) and receiving the Alan Ridgway Award in 2023. Dr. Khadamy further distinguished himself by earning the Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology Subspecialty Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery (FEBOS-CR), joining an elite group of fewer than 100 surgeons recognized for their advanced expertise. He is also listed among the FEBOS-CR Alumni on the ESCRS Wall of Honour. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and educational resources, and has completed hundreds of peer review assignments for international journals. Dr. Khadamy serves as Associate Editor for Cureus (Springer Nature), sits on the Reviewer Board for Therapeutic Advances in Ophthalmology, and is Academic Editor for IntechOpen. With more than 500 EyeWiki edits, he ranks among the top 20 contributors worldwide and has extensive international clinical and research experience.
