Ana Sofia Antunes das Neves

EN | Sofia Neves has a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Minho (2005), and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the same institution (1999). She is an Associate Professor at the University of Maia (UMaia), and the Coordinator of the Branch of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (CIEG-ISCSP/ULisboa) in the UMaia. Her research areas, in which she has been coordinating several scientific projects, are domestic and gender-based violence, and discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation and identity and/or gender expression. Until 2026, she is the researcher responsible for the Portuguese team of the Uni4Equity Project - Strengthening universities' response to sexual harassment with an equity approach, funded by the European Commission. PT| Sofia Neves é doutorada em Psicologia Social, pela Universidade do Minho (2005), e Licenciada em Psicologia pela mesma instituição (1999). É Professora Associada na Universidade da Maia (UMaia), e coordenadora do Polo do Centro Interdisciplinar de Estudos de Género (CIEG-ISCSP/ULisboa) da UMaia. As suas áreas de investigação, no âmbito das quais tem vindo a coordenar vários projetos científicos, são a violência doméstica e de género, e a discriminação e violência com base na orientação sexual e identidade e/ou expressão de género. Até 2026, é a investigadora responsável pela equipa portuguesa do Projeto Uni4Equity - Strengthening universities response to sexual harassment with an equity approach, financiado pela Comissão Europeia.
