Lev Evgenevich Zelenkov

My work lies at the intersection of chemistry and materials science, with a focus on luminescent materials based on perovskites, coordination compounds, and hybrid nanocomposites. I’m particularly interested in how non-covalent interactions influence the optical properties of solid-state systems. Much of my research is centered on photoluminescence, second harmonic generation, and amplified emission in ordered nanostructures, as well as their potential applications in sensing and photonic devices.

I combine synthetic chemistry with spectroscopy and materials engineering to explore structure–property relationships at the nanoscale. In recent years, I have been actively developing stable perovskite-based composites and studying how their composition and microstructure affect optical behavior.

What drives me is not only the pursuit of fundamental understanding but also the translation of research into functional systems — from sensor prototypes to components for light-emitting technologies. Alongside research, I contribute to curriculum development and laboratory infrastructure, aiming to bridge scientific inquiry with education and hands-on experience.
