About
Dr Peyman Abkhezr's research focuses on migrants’ and refugees’ career development in the post-migration context. Peyman highlights the role of career counselling and qualitative/narrative activities (particularly narrative career counselling and qualitative career assessment) in supporting migrant's career development and sustainable employment. Prioritising an ethic of care to achieve social justice goals, Peyman relies on narrative, systemic, context-sensitive, and intersectional research. Peyman's teaching covers a wide range of areas from counselling skills and approaches (e.g., the postmodern approaches) to career psychology and counselling, qualitative research, ethics and multiculturalism.
