About

D.-M. Cristea is a University Assistant at the ’'1 Decembrie 1918’' University of Alba Iulia, Faculty of Informatics and Engineering (Romania). Also, is a member of the Research Center on Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Smart Engineering (ARTEMIS) within George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Targu Mures (UMFST). Since October 2023, she has been a PhD student at the UMFST doctoral school and a member of the COST Action Project. Her research interests include computational intelligence, data analysis, and medical image processing, with applications to bioinformatics and healthcare. She was awarded first prize for her academic achievements at the 27th Summer School of Image Processing (2019), organized by the West University of Timisoara, as part of the team project ''Detection of pneumothorax using data fusion in a convolutional neural network.''
