About
Water Resources Management Expert, with over twenty-four years of working experience in (i) international NGO, (ii) multinational consultancy firm, (iii) NGO and (iv) in an organization set-up by the Government. The expertise includes – research and implementation projects involving environmental management, integrated water resources management, river basin management, in general and Environmental Flows, environmental aspects in water resources infrastructure projects, water allocations vis-à-vis environmental considerations and Water & Environment Policy in specific.
Besides this, additional expertise includes sound knowledge of environmental aspects in hydropower development, irrigation management and Water Users Associations. Specialized experience in implementation of programmes/assignments of multilateral funding agencies including the World Bank assisted Water Sector Restructuring Projects (in northern and central India), internationally funded Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and Government of India projects. Nitin has extensive work experience in Ganga River basin with multi-disciplinary teams coming from different areas of expertise, working towards common goal of Natural Resources Conservation.
Nitin has authored/co-authored over 20 research-papers/technical-reports/project-reports.
