Engenheiro Agrônomo pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM/2004), com bolsa de graduação do programa PET/SESu (2001-2004), atuando nas áreas de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão e Doutor em Ciências (Área de Concentração: Física do Ambiente Agrícola) pela Escola Superior de Agricultura ?Luiz de Queiroz? - Universidade de São Paulo (ESALQ/USP/2010). Atualmente é Pesquisador da Embrapa Pesca, Aquicultura e Sistemas Agrícolas ? CNPASA (2010 até o momento) atuando nas áreas de Aquicultura e Sistemas Agrícolas, com ênfase em Agrometeorologia. Sua área de pesquisa abrange os seguintes temas: Sistema Solo-Planta-Atmosfera, Instrumentação Meteorológica, Mudanças Climáticas, Modelagem Agropecuária, Zoneamento Aquícola e Capacidade de Suporte
