About
Silvia Juliana Rodriguez Vargas holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia-2011), a master's, and a doctorate in analytical chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (Brazil-2019). Its main scientific interest is the development of metal ion extraction methods of scientific-technological and environmental interest. The main analytical techniques used in its research are Atomic Absorption Spectrometry, Microwave-induced plasma atomic emission spectrometry, Absorption spectrometry molecular structure of UV-visible. Currently works as a postdoctoral researcher in the department of animal science at Purdue University-Indiana-USA and has been an external researcher of the Water Resources Study Group of the Technological University of Pereira since 2020
