RESEARCH INTERESTS and EXPERIENCE:
- Theory of generalized relativistic effective core potentials (GRECPs) or Gatchina relativistic pseudopotentials (GRPPs) for high precision calculations; electronic structure restoration in core regions of heavy atoms-in-compounds after its RECP calculation;
- theory of compound-tunable embedding potential (CTEP);
- concept of effective states of atoms-in-compounds (AiC); theory of chemical shifts of X-ray emission spectra;
- high-precision calculations of molecules; electronic structure of heavy-atom systems;
basis sets; methods of correlation structure calculation: many-body perturbation theory, configuration interaction, coupled clusters; relativistic effects;
- variational principles including those for transition energies (matrices); unitary group for spin-dependent interactions;
- P,T-parity non-conservation effects, EDM of electron; hyperfine structure; spectroscopic properties of molecules and materials.
GRANTS and RESEARCH PROJECTS:
The author and leader of three international projects (INTAS: Israel-Germany-Russia, RFBR-DFG: Russia-Germany, CRDF: Russia-USA) and seven national grants of Russian Foundation for Basic Research, RFBR, Leader of three RFBR grants for “Oriented targeted basic research on key interdisciplinary topics” (RFBR_OFI_M), Leader of Russian Ministry of Education and Science contract 2012-2013, Leader of SPbU Fundamental Science Research grant from Federal budget 2013-2015. Leader of RSF grant for new laboratories #14-31-00022 (2014-2016 and continued for 2017-2018) "Development of tools for mathematical modeling and diagnostics of the state of actinides in high-level waste matrices and other ecosphere objects". Leader of initiative RSF grant #20-13-00225 (2020-2022 and continued for 2023-2024) "Development of relativistic modeling tools for materials with impurity f-elements and the study of their electronic structure".
