Main scientific results

Preclinical studies in a syngeneic mouse model of Pan02 pancreatic cancer tumours (mouse line C57BL/6) of the oncolytic and immunotherapeutic effects of vaccines based on yellow fever virus strain 17D and tick-borne encephalitis strain Sofyin.

Investigation of the oncolytic potential of yellow fever and tick-borne encephalitis virus vaccine strains in tumour cell models.

The results obtained from the study of cytotoxic activity of oncolytic drug samples on human and mouse melanoma cell lines using a polyacrylic acid polymer preparation containing gold (III) ions allowed us to find a new approach to melanoma treatment. It is expected that due to the better ratio of specific pharmacological activity and general toxicity of gold polyacrylate this substance may be in demand for the treatment of melanoma and prevention of its resistance to chemopreventive agents.

PhD thesis: “pH-induced formation of dormant forms in mycobacteria and the role of adenylyl cyclase in their resuscitation”.

Mechanism of bacterial cell response to different kind of stresses, formation of dormant and non-cultrurable cells of non-sporulating bacteria, their resuscitation and study chemical and physical factors controlled these processes. Study of dormant Mycobacteria tuberculosis cells in connection with elucidation of mechanisms of latent tuberculosis.

LacZ derived fudsion protein probe based on plexine-semaphorine domain of beta-3 integrin, a marker of retina capillar endotheliocytes and putative receptor of hantaviruses.

Producer strain engineering, purification and testing enzymatic activity of a probe protein based on LacZ and plexine-semaphorine domain of human beta3-integrin are disclosed. The probe may be used for detection of in vivo and in vitro damage of retina capillaries as well as for identification and quantification of hantavirus particles in vaccine substances.
