Alexander Gennadyevich Kvashnin

Born in 1989 in Krasnoyarsk. In 2012, he received a master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and became a postgraduate student at the same university.In 2011 and 2013, he was a visiting scholar at Rice University (Houston, USA). In 2015, he began working at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology as a junior researcher.In 2016, he received a PhD in Physics and Mathematics with a degree in condensed matter physics from NUST MISIS, and in 2021 he received a doctorate in Physics and Mathematics from the same university. Since 2023, I have been working as a professor at Skoltech and head of the laboratory of industrial-oriented materials search. In 2024, he became the winner of the Sber Science Prize in the AI in Science nomination.

I have more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, etc., which have been cited more than 7000 times (h-index 35).

I am actively working in the field of computational search for new functional and structural materials with specified physical properties, followed by the development of new methods for theoretical research, including AI.
