About
Dr. Mikhail Rogov is a head of the Laboratory of Phanerozoic Stratigraphy (Department of Stratigraphy) of the Geological Institute of RAS, Moscow. He has been working here after receiving of PhD degree in stratigraphy & paleontology (2001, Moscow State University; DSc degree: 2019, Geological Institute of RAS). His scientific interests lie within integral stratigraphy of the Mesozoic (especially in the Arctic region), paleobiogeography, paleoclimates and cephalopod paleobiology. During the last 15 years Dr. Rogov and his colleagues proposed few Russian sections as a possible GSSP’s for the Callovian, Oxfordian and Volgian stages.
