Bag Atanu

Dr. Atanu Bag is a Research Professor at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Hanyang University, where he works with Prof. Do Hwan Kim in the Frontier Optoelectronic Nanomaterials & Devices Laboratory (FOND Lab).

He received his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and B.Tech. in Radiophysics & Electronics from the University of Calcutta, India, in 2006 and 2009. He earned his M.Tech. in Solid State Technology (2011) and Ph.D. in Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering (2015) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sunchon National University and later as a Research Professor in the Semiconductor Nanosystems Laboratory at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), Republic of Korea.

With over a decade of hands-on experience in semiconductor device fabrication and cleanroom process technologies, Dr. Bag has worked on a wide range of devices including synaptic transistors, ion-gel-gated FETs, gas sensors, graphene-based electronics, heterojunction diodes, thin-film photovoltaics, photodetectors, and wearable/stretchable electronic systems.

His current research is oriented toward neuromorphic and bio-inspired electronics. He focuses on developing adaptive, low-power sensory devices and perception-driven sensing platforms that can interface with next-generation intelligent and interactive systems.
