Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Raina is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and hospitality professional with over 15 years of experience in hospitality and tourism education. Currently the Professor and Dean of the School of Management, Hotel Management, and Design at CT University, Ludhiana, Dr. Raina has dedicated his career to the advancement of hospitality education, curriculum development, and fostering industry-academia collaborations. His expertise spans from leading academic programs to creating specialized courses that meet current industry standards, especially in areas such as food tourism, sustainable tourism, and culinary management. He has held leadership roles at various institutions, including GNA University and Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, where he led the development of unique programs in culinary arts, hospitality management, and tourism.

Dr. Raina’s academic credentials are equally impressive, with a Ph.D. in Hotel Management from GNA University focusing on food tourism and destination attraction in Jammu and Kashmir, a region he has extensively researched. His scholarly contributions include over 28 research publications in reputed international and Scopus-indexed journals, covering topics such as digital marketing in hospitality, cultural tourism, and food safety standards. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Best Faculty Award and the Exemplary Academician of the Year Award, underscoring his commitment to academic and professional excellence.

An innovative thinker and practitioner, Dr. Raina holds multiple patents on hospitality solutions, such as AI-driven talent demand analysis in hotels and IoT-based hotel management systems. His groundbreaking ideas are also evident in his culinary achievements; he is listed in the Limca Book of Records for creating unique culinary records, including the longest aloo parantha and maximum varieties of golgappas and samosas, showcasing his creative approach to gastronomy.

A Certified Hospitality Trainer by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and an Advanced Innovation Ambassador under the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, Dr. Raina actively engages in research on culinary tourism and sustainable hospitality.
