The project is dedicated to solving a global ethical and socially significant problem related to the lack of humane euthanasia techniques in veterinary practice, including mass slaughter of large farm animals. To date, in domestic and global veterinary practice, there are basically no drugs that euthanize animals in a humane way, which implies a scientifically proven preliminary shutdown of consciousness before the lethal component begins. The project is aimed primarily at large farm animals, primarily pigs, to eliminate the consequences of mass epizootics (for example, African swine fever). In addition, the research results may be in demand in routine veterinary practice for the euthanasia of other animal species. The implementation of the project will create a new sector in the veterinary products market - drugs for the humane euthanasia of animals.
